Past Trainings and Workshops
Cultural Intelligence training
In our recent Cultural Intelligence training, we reflected on the example of the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 9:22: “I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.” Through this biblical lens, participants came to understand that intercultural ministry requires an intentional willingness to set aside personal preferences for the sake of the gospel.
During the training, they learned that Cultural Intelligence is not optional—it’s essential for effective ministry. We explored how to grow in four key areas: the motivation to engage other cultures with genuine love, the knowledge to understand cultural differences, the strategies to interact wisely, and the flexibility to adapt without compromising the message.
Participants also gained practical tools to connect with people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, recognizing that culturally aware communication removes unnecessary barriers. The goal is clear: to share the gospel in a way that is both relevant and credible, ensuring that the only “offense” is the Cross of Christ—not our attitudes, assumptions, or lack of sensitivity.
This training challenged each participant to lead and minister with greater intentionality, reflecting God’s heart for all nations.
Research
The Methods of Investigation and Research class taught students how to ask meaningful questions and pursue trustworthy answers. It covered how to design a study, choose the right approach (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods), and gather data through tools like surveys, interviews, and observation.
Students learned how to evaluate sources, analyze findings, and draw clear, evidence-based conclusions. The class also emphasized ethical research practices, critical thinking, and how to communicate results effectively.
Mentoring Certification
The mentoring certification course equipped leaders to intentionally guide and develop others through meaningful relationships. They learned how to build trust, listen well, and ask thoughtful questions that foster personal, spiritual, and professional growth.
Students also developed practical skills such as setting goals, offering constructive feedback, and walking alongside others through challenges. The course emphasized the importance of character, consistency, and leading by example. In the end, participants were equipped to invest in others in a way that leads to lasting growth and multiplication.
